Washington, DC – The A. Philip Randolph Institute (APRI) will close out their 44th National Education Conference with a Dinner and Gala honoring Norman Hill, president emeritus APRI, on his 80th birthday. A pioneer in the struggle for civil rights and economic justice, Hill played a major role on the staff of the 1963 March on Washington, which was initiated by A. Philip Randolph and organized by Bayard Rustin. During his 24-year tenure as president of APRI, Hill promoted the values of his mentors, Randolph and Rustin.
