(Detroit, MI) The Dirty Show, one of the world’s largest and best attended Erotic Art events which has left an indelible cultural mark (hickey?) on the Valentine’s Day experience in Detroit for 14 years and counting, returns to Bert’s Warehouse with some exciting new twists. Starting with the world renown artist, Gregory de La Haba, Curator and from Los Angeles, media sensation Lenora Claire and Pin-up artist icon, Olivia De Berardinis, are three of this year’s Dirty newcomers highlights.

• Equus Maximus After 3 years of begging and ingratiation, Jerry Vile has convinced NY artist, Gregory de la Haba to display his controversial sculptural installation, “Equus Maximus.” De La Haba’s unforgetable installation caused a stir at the 2008 Art Basel in Miami, will be the the centerpiece of the 14th version of The Dirty Show. Curator Vile has called the taxidermy and sculpture based piece, the best piece of erotica I have ever seen.

“New York multimedia artist Gregory de la Haba’s not-to-be-missed masterpiece Equus Maximus is ambitious to say the least, involving life-size taxidermy show-horses in full Vegas dance-hall regalia, and sporting exaggerated sex organs, a casino table, a suite of lavishly staged, ornately costumed photographic portraits, a soundtrack, and mood lighting. The overall effect is at once baroque and erotic, emotionally charged, and animated by a certain primitive, tribal sorcery that lends a deep soulfulness to the tableau’s splashy titillation

– Golden Gals Gone Wild – Erotica based on the 80s TV sitcom starring Bea Arthur and Betty White hit a cultural nerve. The two wildly successful sellout shows (LA and Miami) curated by Lenora Claire were written about in everything from Vanity Fair to National Enquirer. Now Lenora is bringing the same theme that was featured on TMZ, NBC News, NPR theme to the Dirty Show®.

– Chicago’s Stage Door Johnnies, Viva LaMuerte, Roxi Delite, The Benson Twins, and DeAngla Show Shannon are just some of the stage performers at this years Dirty Show. The stage has become more rounded, with polysexual performances that are pretty much non-stop throughout the entire evening. NY Performance Artist Cora Lee Rose will be doing, well if things go as expected, nothing, she is able to hold positions for hours.

-Olivia De Berardinis –Considered the preeminent Pin Up Artist in the World, this will be the first time Olivia’s art work has been seen in Detroit (well outside of the pages of Playboy where she has been the heir to Vargas since 2004). It is a wonder this has taken 14 years to happen, but Olivia does not do erotic events and only through the mediation of a mutual friend, did Olivia learn the Dirty Show® was an exhibition.
