Chuckii Booker is from Los Angeles and began his recording career in 1984 after his late godfather Barry White signed him to his production company. Booker’s first official album was released in 1989 on Atlantic Records. The multi-talented musician played all the instruments and wrote all the songs on Chuckii that commercially supported itself with the singles,“(Don’t U Know) I Love U” and “Turned Away.” “Games” was the highlight of Booker’s second album Niice ‘n Wild. A short solo output has been overshadowed by Booker’s in-demand musical director career working for Janet Jackson, Mary J.Blige, TLC, Faith Evans, Keyshia Cole and others through the years. He has also worked as one of Tina Turner’s touring musicians and was a producer on two of Lionel Richie’s album projects in 2007. In 2008 he worked extensively on Miki Howard’s Private Collection to create five new jazz/soul songs including “Crazee.”
