Rapper Kirk “Milk Dee” Robinson and DJ Nat “Gizmo” Robinson were the Brooklyn duo known as Audio Two. “Make It Funky” was their 1987 debut single and “Top Billin'” was the b-side. Their father, Nat Robinson, created First Priority Records to put out their music and that of their sister MC Lyte. The brothers had a total of three albums to come out and 8 singles. “I Don’t Care,” “I Get The Papers” and “On The Road Again” did moderately well but nothing reached the level of success as “Top Billin.'” The song was remade in 1998 on MC Lyte’s Seven and Seven album. Milk Dee recorded a verse for 50 Cent’s “I Get Money” in 2007 thanking all the artists who sampled the testosterone beat-driven song in their music.
