Robbie Nevil is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, California. He attained a publishing deal in 1983 and wrote songs for El DeBarge, The Pointer Sisters and Earth, Wind & Fire. In 1986 he received his first recording contract and “C’est La Vie” was the debut single that became a pop hit. The follow-up singles “Dominoes” and “Wot’s It To Ya” did well on the dance music charts. His sophomore album A Place Like This came out in 1988 and two singles “Back On Holiday” and “Just Like You” did modestly well. The 1991 Day 1 was his third and last album as a performer with “For Your Mind” and “Somebody Like You” being his final solo singles. Nevil is no longer a solo performer but he has written and produced records for Luther Vandross, El DeBarge, Raven, SWV, K-CI & Jojo, Babyface, Jessica Simpson, Melissa Etheridge and many others.
