Meshell Ndegeocello, who really has proven herself to be “the future of the funk” (to quote Greg Tate) although she detests labels, debuted a new single called “Dirty World” a few days ago. She is getting fans like me ready for the release of her ninth album Weather. The album comes out November 8th and is produced by Joe Henry and on the Naive imprint.
