Chris ‘Daddy’ Dave, who is known as the Mos Def and Robert Glasper drummer with the Tony Allen meets J Dilla sound, as well as the backing drummer for countless other names including Erykah Badu, A Tribe Called Quest, Sa Ra, and the producer behind tracks for Maxwell, has teamed up with emcee and DJ Stimulus to put out a collaborative mix-tape 3rd 1st Impression. The mix-tape is produced entirely by Chris Dave and features Stimulus on the mic and special guests Bilal, Renee Neufville, Stokley (of Mint Condition), Casey Benjamin and Screechy Dan. 3rd 1st Impression will be out as a free download on September 12th.
