The Outlawz return with their last album “Perfect Timing” on the anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s Death
One of Hip-Hop’s most notorious group’s, The Outlawz, are back with what they are claiming to be their final album, Perfect Timing, slated for a September 13th release date via Krude/One Nation/Fontana/Universal Records. This date also reminds us of one of the saddest days in hip hop’s history, the passing of rap-icon, Tupac Amaru Shakur. “Perfect Timing is our way of turning a negative day into a positive one,” explains group member E.D.I Mean. Perfect Timing will keep in step with their “Outlawz 4 Life†brand, a moniker dedicated to their fraternal loyalty and be accompanied by a DVD “Outlawz Worldwide Vol. 2â€. The album features guest appearances by Bun B, Scarface, Krayzie Bone, Lloyd, Trae Tha Truth, Z-Ro, Tech N9ne, Young Buck, Belly and others.
Prior to the release, the Outlawz will release a brand new mixtape on July 14th entitled Killuminati 2K11 which will serve as a refresher to the music game and the streets and includes their remix to Rick Ross’ MMG Self Made current hit single “Tupac Backâ€. The mixtape, hosted by DJ Smallz and DJ Kayslay, will feature Chamillionaire, 8-Ball, Young Buck and UK rapper Lowkey.
Originally introduced to the hip-hop community in 1995 by Tupac, the group is poised to make a comeback with their original members E.D.I. Mean, Young Noble, Hussein Fatal and Kastro.
Despite various trials and tribulations, The Outlawz have emerged as seasoned lyricists, musical innovators, and reality-driven storytellers. The group remains steadfast in their objective to deliver the “Ghetto Gospel†type of music they were originally introduced to and which has become a fan favorite. “The industry and the streets are begging for something real so we here to deliver,†says Noble. “It’s time for some real soldiers with a real message making real music with a real history to step to the front of this rap game, and the Outlawz is the epitome of just that….Perfect Timing.”
The Outlawz received infamy as frequent collaborators with their iconic mentor on classic hits like “Me Against the World,†“All Eyez on Me,†and “Makaveli.†The group remains as the only group in music history to be featured on over 60 million records sold while never being signed to a major record label, remaining completely independent
With over a decade’s worth of experience, the group is ready to show and prove why their dedication to unity as brothers in the face of adversity has been their most endearing trait and the motivation for their success.
