R.I.P. Clarence Clemons

Clarence Clemons died Saturday of complications from a stroke he suffered on June 12th. Clemons was the tenor saxophone player in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street band since 1972. He was also an actor who had worked in movies and made television appearances with the most recent one being on “The Wire.” The musician had a hit song with Jackson Browne in 1985 with “You’re A Friend Of Mine.” It is his horn you hear on Aretha Franklin’s “Freeway Of Love” and he also performed with The Grateful Dead and Ringo Starr. Clemons can also be heard on Lady Gaga’s Born This Way album.
