JazzReggae Festival at UCLA Celebrates 25th Year on Memorial Day Weekend!

The highly anticipated 25th Annual JazzReggae Festival at UCLA is set to take place this Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30. Headlined by Lupe Fiasco and Steel Pulse, the festival boasts two full days of artist performances, vendors, and live art.

The lineup for Jam Day (Sunday, May 29) includes Little Dragon, Lee Fields & The Expressions, The Stepkids, UCLA’s own Le J Trio Collective, and The Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble feat. Bilal, Pharoahe Monch, Meshell Ndegeocello,Talib Kweli, Karriem Riggins, and Quadron. Reggae Day (Monday, May 30) will feature Gyptian, Los Rakas, Tanya Stephens with Detour Posse, The Expanders, The Wailing Souls, and J Boog.

With a live art component—including screen printing, a 360 degree canvas, and live sculpture—as well as a diverse array of food and craft vendor booths, the JazzReggae Festival is not just a concert; it’s an experience.

Historically a supporter of environmentally friendly practice, the festival is proud to announce that JazzReggae Festival at UCLA is a recipient of this year’s TGIF Grant. The goal for this year’s production is 100% Sustainability. The vision extends beyond proper waste disposal to include fully sustainable vendor packaging and sustainable art display. This year will also be the first to announce a collaboration with Extreme Biodiesel for sustainable oil disposal.

This is a milestone year for JazzReggae Festival at UCLA, and festival-goers will have the opportunity to experience the excitement of a show built on a quarter-century of history.
