The album represents the burgeoning new hip-hop scene bubbling in the Bay area and the movement to bring this music back to the forefront. MVMNT features guest appearances from Tha Jacka, Enoch & 1 O.A.K. Both Rel & JBillion are mainstays on the Bay area hip-hop circuit alongside DaVinvi, TiRon, Keelay and more.

Tied strongly to their Bay roots, the duo features San Francisco as a main character in both videos from the project. For their first video “Once In A Lifetime,” Rel, a man of many talents, took on video directorial duties. The video was filmed at San Francisco’s beloved Mexican grill Papalote, known for winning a culinary battle against the Food Network’s Bobby Flay for their “Triple Threat Burrito.” “Soul Clap,” the 2nd video from MVMNT and also directed by Rel, was set in the streets of San Francisco. The video is a snapshot of daily life in the bay with JBillion asking, “If you ever lived in the ghetto but got out that shit, or still in the ghetto with the goons and the pits, Can I get a soul clap*”
