Greg Phillinganes is a native Detroiter and one of the top keyboardists in the world of music. He is mostly known for working on all of Michael Jackson’s Epic albums and being the musical director for his Bad and Dangerous concert tours. He has worked with numerous people including Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Patti Austin, Debarge, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Nicks, Anita Baker and others. He released a couple of solo albums in the ’80s and had a minor hit with a cover of the Yellow Magic Orchestra’s “Behind The Mask.” He also co-wrote songs with Lionel Ritchie, The Brothers Johnson and Paulinho Da Costa. As a session player he is continually in high demand. In this interview he discusses his work with Michael Jackson.
