The four men better known to the world as Anti-Pop Consortium – Beans, M. Sayyid, High Priest, and Earl Blaize, are bringing their futuristic brand of hip-hop back to the people in a series of shows across the US this fall, including a coveted slot at this year’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in New York. Their new album, Fluorescent Black (out October 6th on Big Dada), is yet another step beyond what anyone else in hip-hop is doing right now – a feat that they seem to have accomplished with every album, from their debut Tragic Epilogue (2000) to their monumental benchmark album Arrhythmia (2002). The bands live show is the stuff of legend, having toured with a diverse array of artists such as Radiohead, DJ Shadow, Public Enemy, Stereolab, The Faint, Prefuse 73 and more. Don’t miss these dates!
“Fluorescent Black…shows the quartet as inventive as ever. Fans of canned club rap beats and self-aggrandizing lyrics are advised to look elsewhere.” – SPIN.COM
