The newest star on Stones Throw, Mayer Hawthorne, is heading out on a headlining tour of the US (along with his five piece band, The County), in support of his debut full length, A Strange Arrangement. The Ann Arbor, Michigan native grew up heavily influenced by the classic soul music of the nearby Motor City. While the sound of Motown is a touchstone for Hawthorne, A Strange Arrangement is a contemporary take on the classic song form, with a sense of soul that seemingly goes way beyond his scant 29 years on the planet.
