Los Angeles, CA – Industry veteran and ultimate trendsetter Kevin Rouse, CEO of Personal Touch Entertainment, in association with Angeltown Productions and Jazzmyne Public Relations is visioning the last stop in nightlife as he launches “Live on Wilshire” at Opus every Wednesday evening, beginning May 6, 2009. “Live on Wilshire” will capture the rhythm and the blues, the syncopated beat of all that jazz and the heat of Hollywood when celebrities, musicians, poets, comedians, industry tastemakers and partygoers converge for a night of fine dining, networking and entertainment on Wilshire Boulevard at the corner of Western Avenue.
Opus is located at 3760 Wilshire Boulevard next door to the legendary Wiltern Theater. Formerly the Atlas Bar & Grill, Opus has undergone a complete makeover and renovation. Its refined, sleek and contemporary decor accentuate the mood for upscale dining, celebratory libations and late night entertaining. In addition, Opus boasts the addition of its fantastic new chef, Rodrigo Dearaujo. Dearaujo was formerly at the Montage Resort & Spa Laguna Beach. Some of his past locales include the Peninsula Beverly Hills and Katina Restaurant Newport Beach.
“Live on Wilshire” will set the evening off with mix and mingle and Spoken Word from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with free admission. Admission is $10.00 after 8:00 p.m. with the price of admission including one complimentary cocktail up until 10:00 p.m. The 11:00 News Band, featuring Billy John will rock the house until midnight with soulful grooves and funk-laden rhythms.

With 25 years of experience under his belt, Rouse is known for the former Ten20 Night Scene and the Brasserie on the Sunset Strip which he booked for years, in addition to several hot spots in the Bay Area. He also currently hosts and promotes jazz nights at the historic Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. “‘Live on Wilshire’ is the perfect venue to unwind mid-week. Wednesday is Hump Day and ‘Live on Wilshire’ is the antidote!” states Rouse. “You never know who you may see or who might perform. It’s definitely going to be a night for the grown and the sexy!”
