B Angie B covered this song made popular and co-written by one of The Emotions in ’76 in ‘ 91 after being signed by MC Hammer to his Bust It label. She became acquainted with Hammer through producer James Earley after moving from her native Mississippi to California. She sang on Hammer’s Let’s Get It Started and Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em albums and toured with him as a background singer. Hammer also made her a member of his short-lived three woman group 3-5-7.
