On Sunday April 5th, 2009 Diddy’s recent making the band group will try to get along well enough to shoot a video for their most recent single “Stadium Music”. Day 26 can be seen on MTV’s reality show Making the Band 4. The show portrays the pressures and expectations of being a superstar boy band and what it is like to work with Diddy.
The group has certainly seen their share of controversy on the show even pushing Diddy to imply that there is a Making the Band curse, based on the group’s inability to get along. As the video’s director, Danny Hastings’ patience will undoubtedly be pushed to the limits as he attempts to keep the group harmonious long enough to shoot a video that portrays his vision. Within this shoot Danny plans on using a revolutionary camera technique that allows him to shoot his video and his photos simultaneously without changing lighting or sets which is typically the norm. This revolutionary technique has allowed Danny to churn out quality work at a rapid pace and double his productivity. Danny Hastings has worked with other renowned artists such as the Wu-Tang Clan, Aventura, Nas, and Redman on either photo shoots or video shoots and has most recently combined photo shoots and video shoots.
For this particular project it will prove useful as Day 26 has a reputation for not being able to get along for extended periods of time. The faster the shoot can take place the less opportunity for the guys to fight amongst each other. The video will take place this Sunday, April 5th at 9:30 a.m. Bayard Studios
