In the ’90’s they became popular in their homeland for being leaders in the Acid Jazz movement but in the United States they were known for making nice dance records and cool videos. “Alright,” “Virtual Insanity,” “Canned Heat,” “Supersonic” “Space Cowboy” “Light Years” and “Little L” were their hottest singles. And despite all the culture vulture accusations Kool And The Gang became their fans. Jay Kay has stated that the band has started working on a new album that is supposed to be released this year.
