In honor of Motown’s 50th birthday here is a clip of Marvin Gaye and James Jamerson performing “What’s Going On” and “What’s Happening Brother.” Jesse Jackson organized a concert in 1972 for his Operation PUSH association and the concert became the content of the out of print film “Save The Children.” The Jackson Five, Robert Flack, Wilson Pickett, Curtis Mayfield, Quincy Jones and other talents performed at the show. Stan Lathan, longtime TV and film director and father of Sanaa Lathan directed this treat. Looks like Rhino needs to find and release this one.
