A founding member of legendary hip-hop crew Group Home, Lil Dap is a
product of the renowned New York mid-nineties “golden age” of hip-hop
that spawned such classic groups as M.O.P., Gang Starr & many more.
Group Home’s widely hailed release, “Living Proof,” solidified Dap as
a frontrunner of this widely renowned and respected era and has since
seen him touring the world in preparation for his highly anticipated
solo debut, “I.A.DAP,” which streets on August 5th and features Guru
(of Gang Starr) and production by: Alchemist, Large Professor, Big
Noyd & more.
In this rare and exclusive webisode, Dap talks about the album and
recounts his history in the game dating back to the early nineties,
including memories of his time in the hood with Biggie Smalls (you
gotta hear this story), getting to know Guru and the emergence of the
“golden era” of New York hip-hop.
