*Funkateer bassist Bootsy Collins, who began his career as part of James Brown’s band the JBs in 1970 and 71, is honoring his old boss with a star-studded tour dubbed “A Tribute to James Brown.”
The trek will include alumni from The JBs, including Phelps “Catfish” Collins (who is also Bootsy’s brother) on guitar and drummers John “Jabo” Starks and Clyde Stubblefield, aka the Funky Drummer, reports Billboard.com.
