Brit indie-dance-rock sensation, Does It Offend You, Yeah? is kicking off their first American tour with Tampa, Florida club queens, Yo Majesty, in anticipation of their already acclaimed album, You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into, set for release on April 15 on Almost Gold Recordings.

Riding a tsunami-sized press wave, DIOY,Y? is coasting through the likes of Spin, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Urb, Alternative Pres, Playboy, The New York Times, etc. Together, Yo Majesty and DIOY,Y are tag-teaming club crowds from New York to Los Angeles. Also, stay tuned for Yo Majesty’s highly anticipated album in summer 2008 worldwide on Domino.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? Is a four-piece indie-dance-rock brew-ha-ha. Think DFA 1979 and Justice growing up on Devo, Prodigy and Rage Against The Machine. They sound Dance. They act rock.

WHAT THE PRESS ARE SAYING AFTER THEIR LIVE DEBUT AT SXSW:

Their set wasn’t long, but it swiftly became an epic party Å  Morgan Quaintance from buzzy British dance-punk quartet Does It Offend You, Yeah? also reached Hendrix levels of ecstasy playing his guitar behind his head (and later dragging it across the low-hanging rafters at Emo’s). -ROLLING STONE.COM

What’s it like to be British dudes wearing shorts and Ten Deep brass knuckle shirts in Texas with a bunch of people yelling your song lyrics? It’s probably awesome. – FADER on Does It Offend You, Yeah? At SXSW

One of the most rapped about acts so far is British quartet Does It Offend You, Yeah, whose single “Let’s Make Out” comes off like a pre-pubescent James Murphy fronting Klaxons. I mean that very, very affectionately, as I like both LCD Soundsystem and Klaxons quite a lot -SPIN.COM

A dance-rock band I liked better, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, slammed out the kind of early-1980s dance-rock beats that the Rapture also uses, but they traded yelping for filtered vocals (like Daft Punk) and artiness for rowdiness. -THE NEW YORK TIMES BLOG- JON PARELES ON DIOYY? AT SXSW 2008

Does the world need more ’80s-inspired dance-rock? The answer is yes, if judging by the attention surrounding Does It Offend You, Yeah? -LA TIMES.COM
