The Internet’s Bass Player Patrick Paige II Releases Letters Of Irrelevance

Patrick Paige II usually works as the bass player for The Internet but today he releases his solo album Letters Of Irrelevance. The 11-song album uses R&B and hip-hop to weave its sound with appearances from Syd, Daisy, G-Perico Fortebowie and Kari Faux. The album’s mellow vibe guarantees it will become synonymous with the summer of 2018.

Kaytranada Remixes The Internet’s Roll (Burbank Funk)

Kaytranada remixes The Internet’s infectious “Roll (Burbank Funk)” with P-Funk keyboards, Patrick Paige’s submerged bassline and Syd and Steve Lacy’s voices in acapella mode. Both versions are ideal for roller rink excursions, summer parties and electric slide marathons. Kaytranada leaves more room between each sound and lets Syd’s heavy breaths fade out at the end.

The Internet: Roll (Burbank Funk) (Official Video)

Earlier this week The Internet asked their Twitter followers if it was time for new music and the response was swift and affirmative. “Roll (Burbank Funk)” is their new single and it could not come soon enough as it’s been three years since Ego Death. The video finds the band with comrade Steve Lacy dancing around a soundstage.
