Kendrick Lamar and Sza are starting 2018 with “All The Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack. Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith are producing and curating the music for the highly anticipated film. Director Ryan Coogler picked Lamar and he worked with the rapper and Tiffith on the soundtrack. Lamar stated in a press release:

“Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision.”

Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as the T’Challa king of the fictional Wakanda and it is the most anticipated film of 2018. Several Facebook groups are talking about the movie and have already scheduled screenings. Discussion groups are popping up at colleges and social media is rife with references and hashtags to the film. A Black superhero and an all-Black cast is unusual and despite the existence of other Black characters like Luke Cage and Black Lightning, Panther has garnered the most attention.

Black Panther the movie comes out February 16th and the soundtrack will be released February 9th.
