Jay-Z & Beyonce Drop Everything Is Love Joint Album & Video For Apes**t

Jay-Z and Beyonce surprise fans at the beginning of their OTR II tour by dropping their debut joint album, Everything Is Love and the video for “Apesh**t.” The first single is a trap and dance hybrid with Beyonce’s voice being touched by electronics. In the video, the couple goes through several costume changes in the Louvre museum in France. There are young Black people kneeling, a couple in a bedroom and several dancers. They end the visual by looking at the Mona Lisa together. Those who complained about a lack of new music for their current tour should be satisfied. Everything Is Love has appearances from Miguel and Pharrell and is streaming exclusively through Tidal.¬†


Beyonce’s Coachella Performance

Beyonce made history last night as the first Black woman to headline Coachella. Her two and a half hour set included a tribute to HBCU’s marching bands, appearances from Jay-Z, Solange, a couple modern dancing and a new reunion with Destiny’s Child. Her blistering performance has many calling the festival Beychella. The whole night that required 11-hour rehearsals is just the beginning of her tour schedule because she and Jay-Z will hit the road with On The Run II this summer.¬†


David Letterman Interviews Jay-Z For His Netflix Show

¬†Jay-Z is David Letterman’s guest on the next episode of his Netflix show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. In this clip from Letterman’s interview with Jay-Z, the hip-hop mogul talks about the elements of a good rapper. He mentions the appeal of having a great voice like Snoop Dogg and Eminem’s syncopated percussive style of rapping. The episode will stream on Netflix April 6th.¬†


Jay-Z & Beyoncé To Kick Off On The Run II Tour This Summer

¬†Beyonce’s Instagram account posted a trailer today confirming the On The Run II Tour with Jay-Z. The first show is in the U.K. and they will tour Europe before returning to America where the last date will take place in Canada. Pre-sale tickets will be available March 14th and the regular sale starts March 19th.
