Kill At Will: The Final Chapter-Joell Ortiz, Token, Chris Rivers, Big Daddy Kane & Snow Tha Product

“Kill At Will: The Final Chapter” is a song from the That’s Hip-Hop: Generation Next album coming out October 14th via That’s Hip-Hop. That’s Hip-Hop is a movement started by producer Domingo with the goal of preserving the music and culture. The movement represents itself through the release of music and organizing live shows.  In the video, Joell Ortiz, Token , Chris Rivers, Big Daddy Kane and Snow Tha Product are animated figures who drive through the New York City streets and arrive at the offices of music industry executives who are murdered for dumbing down hip-hop. Rivers wears the same outfit as Freddy Krueger from The Nightmare On Elm Street franchise to demonstrate that his kind of music is the one thing the corporate hip-hop machine fears. If you pre-order That’s Hip-Hop: Generation Next, you receive a free instant download of “Kill At Will: The Final Chapter.”

Throwback: Big Daddy Kane-The Lover In You

Big Daddy Kane’s “The Lover In You” is from his Prince Of Darkness album which was criticized for having more R&B/pop songs. Kane received the rare privilege of being able to sample Prince’s “Pop Life” for the single and he wore a lot of Prince’s favored purple in the video. Big Daddy Kane did not leave hip-hop behind on the Prince Of Darkness as there are guest appearances from Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, and songs like “Brother, Brother” and “Git Bizzy.” Prince and Big Daddy Kane were previously together on an unreleased remix of “Batdance” from the Batman soundtrack which was posted on the internet after Prince’s passing.

First, before folks get mad – this is not an attempt to re-create classics, just a tribute to Old School Hip-Hop, made for the fun and love of it.

Back in 2006, under-the-radar producer nomadic trackz released “Back To The Beat: Old School Classics – Remixed” – a free remix project which was done as a tribute to Old School Hip-Hop.

Back To The Beat caught the ears of many. Legendary artists like T LA Rock, Rev Run, MC Lyte, Mike G / Jungle Brothers, and JVC Force (who were all remixed on the project), took a listen and gave props. Media outlets such as Allhiphop, MTV’s Mixtape Monday, Hiphopgame, Okayplayer, Mass Appeal, XLR8R, Billboard, and others all gave the project love.

Now, 4 years later nomadic trackz presents: “Back To The Beat vol.II: Old School Classics – Remixed”
