Ben Williams Shares His Version Of We Shall Overcome For MLK Day

Ben Williams acknowledges the holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday by sharing his recording of the Civil Rights protest song “We Shall Overcome.” Williams’ forthcoming album, I AM A MAN refers to the historic 1968 Memphis strike held by African-American sanitation workers and the words on their picket signs. Williams’ rendition of the gospel turned protest song sounds like a dreamy meditation. I AM A MAN comes out on José James’ Rainbow Blonde Records February 7th.
