Amerigo Gazaway Presents Nina Simone & Lauryn Hill: The Miseducation Of Eunice Waymon

Amerigo Gazaway commemorates the 20th anniversary of Lauryn Hill’s debut album by imagining a recording session between Hill and Nina Simone. The Miseducation Of Eunice Waymon is almost a flashback to Hill’s performance of Simone’s music earlier this year at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s induction ceremony. Gazaway offers a preview of the project with his treatment of Simone’s “Feeling Good.” Watch the video teaser and stream “Feeling Good” which can be downloaded. The Miseducation Of Eunice Waymon will be available November 9th.

Liam Bailey Returns With Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her (Audio)

Liam Bailey returns with his new single, “Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her” after coming off Paloma Faith’s Architect Tour. Bailey worked with longtime collaborator Maverick Sabre on his new single that came from a recently ended personal relationship. The English singer stated in a press release:

I was inspired to write the song after getting out of a long and painful situation that I was in with someone. We loved something other than ourselves and it led to a toxic place. I didn’t mean to write the song, I just let things go in the studio and see what happened. I have known and worked with Maverick Sabre for years, and it was a blessing to work with him on this record.”

It was eight years ago when Bailey emerged as an artist on Amy Winehouse’s Lioness Records. Their connection was responsible for the release of Bailey’s first two EPs. “Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her” is from Bailey’s fourth EP coming out November 9th and it follows his 2014 debut album, Definitely Now
