Khalid: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

Khalid had a breakout year in 2017 following the success of his debut album American Teen. He received two Grammy nominations, won a VMA Award for Best New Artist, sold out his Location tour and had a hit single with Alessia Cara. His career took off after he posted his “Location” single to Soundcloud in 2016. He shares the story of how he wrote “Location” during high school and how his friends encouraged him to post it online. The NPR concert is a minimal affair with Khalid and acoustic guitar player Jef Villaluna. Their mini-set includes “Young Dumb & Broke,” “Location” and “Saved.”
