Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman Will Debut At Cannes

Spike Lee’s Jordan Peele-produced BlacKkKlansman will debut at Cannes. The film stars John David Washington, Denzel Washington’s son, as a Black police officer who infiltrates the KKK. The feature is an adaptation of Ron Stallworth’s 2014 memoir Black Klansman. Stallworth eventually worked himself into a leadership position with the Klan. 

The movie will compete at the festival taking place May 8th-19th in France. Black KkKlansman will premiere in United States theaters August 10th.
