James Franco is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend and Sza is the musical guest. In this promo clip, Kate McKinnon is overcome by the spirit after Sza beats her and Franco in a game of rock, paper, scissors.


Datari Turner’s A Boy. A Girl. A Dream Selected For 2018 Sundance Film Festival

Datari Turner Productions’ A Boy. A Girl. A Dream has been selected for the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.  Qasim Basir is the director of the film that stars Omari Hardwick, Megan Good, Jay Ellis and Kenya Barris. The story is a romantic drama that takes place during the 2016 election night and it will be featured in the NEXT category films that an “innovative, forward-thinking approach to storytelling.”

A Boy. A Girl. A Dream is Turner’s sixth film to go to the festival. Previous films include Salvation Boulevard (2011), Another Happy Day (2011), Luv (2012), Ten Thousand Saints (2015) and Gook which won the 2017 NEXT Audience Award.

Turner is excited to return to Sundance and happy with the stories he’s been able to help bring to life.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Sundance to present a film that I wholeheartedly believe will inspire audiences to pursue their dreams. “I’ve dedicated my career to producing unique stories that are told from a variety of perspectives. I’m proud of A Boy. A Girl. A Dream and the story that Qasim brought to life.”

The producer created the Growing Up Hip Hop franchise and cast Common in his first lead role (Luv). He also gave actors Ryan Destiny and Michael Rainey Jr. their big screen debuts.

Omari Hardwick and Megan Good are two of the executive producers and onscreen they are people who inspire each other to reclaim their dreams in the midst of the biggest political night of the year.
