Ibeyi On The BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions

Ibeyi were guests on the BBC Radio 1’s Piano Sessions and performed a stripped down version of “Waves” from their new album Ash and they covered Rufus and Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody.” Tickets for their U.S. tour dates are on sale now.


The Roots’ Tiny Desk Concert With Bilal

The Roots and Bilal with a horn section including Jeff Bradshaw perform a 12-minute concert of “It Ain’t Fair” for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concerts. The song is from the Detroit soundtrack and their contribution to the music has become one of the most memorable things about the film.



The Celestial Baseball Association Hits a Home Run with New Book Trailer for “Old Timers Day”

Las Vegas – Riding the wave of the World Series momentum, the Celestial Baseball Association has released their exciting new book trailer for “Old Timers Day: As Told by God to Richard LoPresto.” Authored by Richard LoPresto and co-written with Jerry Schafer, “Old Timers Day” is an epic tale about the forces of “Good vs. Evil” battling on the baseball field. Produced by Markus Watsonthe production genius behind Your Video Ninja, the book trailer also serves as a teaser for the upcoming film to be directed by Foster Corder. 


Calvin Richardson’s Treat Her Right Is Remixed With K-Ci & Faith Hailey

Calvin Richardson’s “Treat Her Right” gets a remix with his old friend K-Ci and K-Ci’s niece Faith Hailey. The additional vocals add another layer of soul to the song’s heavy emotion. Raphael Saadiq Added To Band Together Bay Area Benefit

Raphael Saadiq will perform in the Band Together benefit concert for North Bay Wildfire Relief. Saadiq is an Oakland, California native and he states,

“Happy to the part of the sublime roster of hardened musical talent; united to benefit those who lost so much in the wildfires. It’s a privilege to help heal through the power of music.  I am bringing all my soul. Hope to see everyone there.”

Saadiq never rests on his legendary status and has been busy the last year. He executive-produced Solange’s A Seat At The Table and is the composer for HBO’s Insecure. This past summer he appeared with Maxwell on a few tour dates and made an appearance with A Tribe Called Quest at FYF Fest. Saadiq also produced Little Dragon’s “Peace Of Mind Feat. Faith Evans.”

 The Band Together benefit takes place November 9th at AT&T Park and tickets can be purchased here.
