Eric B. & Rakim Will Celebrate 30th Anniversary Of Paid In Full With Reunion Concert

Thirty years ago Eric B. and Rakim released their seminal Paid In Full album. The recording was one of the first to bring the New York City street aesthetic to the world. Rakim revealed himself to be one of the few rappers to have immediate “God” status because of the cool delivery of his scientific but soulful rhymes. Paid In Full is one of the cornerstones of the Golden Era and it still inspires and moves the crowd. The duo is going to have a reunion show at the Apollo on July 7th, the exact release date three decades ago. They talked about the reunion show on the Ebro In The Morning Show and also offered their respect to Prodigy.

Declaime Feat. Blu: Internally Yours Produced By Georgia Anne Muldrow

Declaime and Blu have collaborated on the world-weary “Internally Yours” produced by Georgia Anne Muldrow. The west coast emcees share their observations about greed, mind control and police brutality. “Internally Yours” is on Declaime’s forthcoming Young Spirit, his first album since 2015’s Southside Story. Aloe Blacc and Saul Williams are two of the featured artists on Young Spirit. Declaime released a statement about the meaning of “Eternally Yours,”

“Internally Yours’ is about inner truth. I’m talking about all the cats running this world to see that they are just like us.  Their heart beats just like us.  The whole album is about how the media and government, food messing with the kid’s heads and their young spirits.  Blu’s speaking on some truths he had locked inside of him.”

Young Spirit gets an official release August 18th.
