Prodigy of Mobb Deep has died in Las Vegas at the age of 42. He was on The Art Of Rap tour and had to be hospitalized for sickness related to his lifelong battle with sickle cell anemia. Mobb Deep was one of the premier hip-hop duos of the ’90’s because of classic albums like The Infamous that put more spotlight on the Queensbridge Housing development after Nas. Mobb Deep’s street-oriented rap made them instant legends and earned them respect among their peers despite having several feuds with people like Jay-Z. Prodigy was released from prison in 2011 after serving three years for criminal possession of a weapon and his autobiography also came out that year. Last year he released Commissary Kitchen: My Infamous Prison Cookbook and earlier this year he released new music with Hegelian Dialectic: The Book Of Revelation album.
