Shaun Escoffery’s “Days Like This” gave him notice in his native Great Britain and among underground soul heads in America. His warm tone and the production work of Spinna and Ticklah created an alluring mix that introduced Escoffery’s voice to many for the first time. “Days Like This” charted in the UK at #53 in 2002 and represented the versatility of his style because of its soul and dance origins. His debut album from that year which bears his name is a collection of songs that move from soul to electronic and dance. Elton John, Angie Stone, Erykah Badu and Lennox Lewis have all voiced admiration for his talent. Lewis requested him to sing the national anthem before his fight with Mike Tyson. Esocoffery’s 2016 Evergreen is his fifth album.
