Kahlil Joseph: Music Is My Mistress

Kahlil Joseph’s Music Is My Mistress stars Tracie Ellis Ross, Jesse Williams, artist Kelsy Lu and Ish of Shabazz Palaces. The 12-minute film shows all of the cast in different times and spaces as part of a larger cultural narrative where music is all-encompassing and Ross is the elusive ‘African royalty who can not be found by Williams. KENZO Clothing presents the film for their Spring and Summer 2017 collection.

Steve Lacy Shares New Song Dark Red From Solo Album

 

Steve Lacy will not be left behind as a member of The Internet with a solo project. “Dark Red” is a depressing rock composition about Lacy’s feeling of impending doom in a relationship. Matt Martians and Syd have released their respective solo albums and Lacy will do the same this Friday when Steve Lacy’s Demo comes out.
