Anderson.Paak Performs Come Down With Gospel Choir

Anderson.paak started his career as a church drummer and he returns to that place to perform “Come Down” with a gospel choir. The performance is part of The Recording Academy’s Believe In Music campaign. There are cameo appearances from paak’s son Soul and his sister Camille. Anderson.paak has two Grammy nominations and will perform with A Tribe Called Quest whose album he also worked on, at the ceremony.

Common and Black Thought play The Wheel Of Freestyle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. They take random words like kangaroo and cheeseburger to show the audience how to improvise a rap. Black Thought’s reference to John Belushi’s famous Cheeseburger skit on SNL received the biggest applause.

Rae Sremmund Perform Black Beatles On The Late Show With John Colbert

Rae Sremmund were the music guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night  and they performed “Black Beatles.” The Atlanta duo made the appearance on the 53rd anniversary of The Beatle’s U.S. television debut. Rae Sremmund’s acknowledgment of The Beatles is part of a cycle that started when Run DMC declared rap the new rock and roll in 1985’s “King Of Rock” and now it is a rap group reminding pop culture of guitar rock again.
