All Eyez On Me Trailer #3

Tupac Shakur’s All Eyez On Me biopic just received another trailer before the June 16th release date which is also Shakur’s birthday. Demetrius Shipp Jr. stars as Tupac in the Benny Boom-directed feature which will be distributed by Lion’s Gate Films. The trailer is a glimpse of the trials Tupac encountered because of his inner conflicts,  all the drama that came with being a Death Row artist and the East Coast versus West coast problem exacerbated by the media.


Jidenna’s Bambi Is The Next Single From The Chief

Jidenna’s “Bambi” is the next single from his debut album, The Chief, which will come out on February 17th. “Bambi” is a romantic song with an Island feel which keeps Jidenna’s music in the realm of hip-hop and world sounds.


Macy Gray Responds To Trump Era With Unifying Message Of White Man Video

Macy Gray’s “White Man” single is a reflection of the Trump Era’s strong feelings of division. Gray sings about being hated by a white man for no reason while two girls, one Black and the other white start dance together with noticeable distance between them. By the end of video, the girls stand together as friends. Gray is releasing a new album in the summer of 2017 and will go on a tour of Europe in March.


Jamiroquai Share Cloud 9 Single From AUTOMATON

Jamiroquai has returned with much fanfare after selling out their London and Paris concerts in one minute. “Cloud 9” follows the release of the “Automaton” video and is the first single from the AUTOMATON album. Frontman Jay Kay gave his description of “Cloud 9”:

“Cloud 9 is a song that’s written in the style that I hope people know us for and are familiar with. It’s a song that if anyone that has been jilted and yet found love somewhere else will no doubt relate to. Can’t wait for you to hear it – get in the car stick it on the radio and just drive.”

AUTOMATON will be released March 31st on Virgin EMI. “Cloud 9” is available via the digital outlets now.

Watch Kindred The Family Soul Become Their Own Art Installation In Their Video For Welcome To My World

In the video for “Welcome To My World,” Kindred The Family Soul are the subjects of an art installation at The African-American Museum in Philadelphia. Konee Rok directs the couple who leave their display to explore the museum at night. They attempt to return to their exhibition but miss their deadline to the amazement of a museum worker. “Welcome To My World” is from Kindred The Family Soul’s Legacy Of Love album. Next week the duo will go on the Nu Soul Revival Tour with Musiq, Avery Sunshine and Lyfe Jennings. Tickets are on sale now.
