Jamie Foxx To Produce Series On Marvin Gaye

Jamie Foxx will executive produce a limited series about Marvin Gaye with Suzanne de Passe and Madison Jones. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Gaye’s family and Motown founder Berry Gordy have given the project their blessing. Marvin Gaye III is an executive producer on the project and says that,”This project will be a powerful and definitive telling of Marvin Gaye’s life story.” F. Gary Gray, Scott Rudin, James Gandolfini and Cameron Crowe all tried to bring Gaye’s life to the screen but none of them had the support of Gaye’s family. Foxx is a longtime fan of Gaye’s and is excited to be on board. Jones and de Passe will shop the series to digital and linear outlets.

Beyonce-All Night Official Video

Beyonce has released the video for “All Night” from her Lemonade album. She co-directed the video with Kahlil Joseph, Melina Matsoukas, Todd Tourso, Dikayl Rimmasch, Jonas Åkerlund and Mark Romanek. The first half of the video is about redemption and there are appearances from Ibeyi and Zendaya. Personal videos of Beyonce’s family and various couples fill the second-half of the clip and  it creates a narrative about love.

Childish Gambino’s Awaken, My Love! Available On Vinyl

The official release date for Childish Gambino’s Awaken, My Love! is December 2nd but there is new merchandise at his website including Virtual Reality Limited Edition vinyl. An exclusive poster is on sale until Friday and regular vinyl copies will be released next year. Gambino just ended the first season of his FX comedy Atlanta and is getting ready to play Lando Calrissian in a Star Wars film.
