The Marley Family & Universal Music To Release Expanded Three Album Version Of Bob Marley & The Wailers Live!

The Marley Family is releasing a three-album version of Bob Marley and The Wailers Live! For the first time, the full concerts from their famous two nights at the Lyceum London on July 17th and July 18th in 1975 will be heard in their entirety. The version of the album that has been listened to for years only included seven songs from the second show. The three LP package will be released on 180-gram black vinyl and digitally on December 16th on the UDiscover site. A reproduction of their 1975 tour program will be included in the set. A seven-inch vinyl disc will be exclusively available at the UDiscover site and the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, Jamaica.

My Final Girl: Documentary About Black Women In Horror Films In The ’70s & ’80’s Trailer

My Final Girl is a documentary about the contributions Black women made to the horror film genre during the ’70’s and ’80’s. Director Kristina Leath-Malin talks to the Black actresses who starred in  Ganga and Hess, Scream Blacula Scream and Abby to hear about their experiences. Marlene Clark and Pam Grier are two of the actresses who appear and recall working on the most visible Black horror movies of the time. Leath-Malin does not have a release date for the film but she is sharing its progress on her Facebook page.

Anderson.Paak-Come Down Official Video

anderson.paak just released Yes Lawd! with Knxwledge but went back to his Malibu solo album to emerge with a video for “Come Down.” The party takes place mostly indoors with a huge crowd and paak plays the drums, sings and hangs out offstage before the video end with a still of Ernie Barnes’ famous Sugar Sack painting.

Pharrell & Lalah Hathaway-Surrender From The Hidden Figures Soundtrack

“Surrender” is a song from Pharrell and Lalah Hathaway for the Hidden Figures soundtrack. The movie about the obscure African-American women of NASA who worked on John Glenn’s mission into space comes out on Christmas Day. Janelle Monae, Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson star as Mary Jackson, Dorothy Vaughn and Katherine Johnson who were the mathematicians that mapped out Glenn’s historical trip. Theodore Melfi is the director of the film and the Hidden Figures soundtrack will be released in December.
