Prince’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Performance Coming Out On Limited Edition Purple Vinyl

Prince’s electrifying performance of “My Guitar Gently Weeps” for the 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will be available on purple vinyl August 12th. Prince was inducted into the hall in 2004 and his guitar solo during the jam session with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Steve Winwood and Dhani Harrison was another moment of his rare musical brilliance. Time Life and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame released the first pressing in April on black vinyl. The recording sold out quickly and made it to #13 on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart. They have also made the video of the evening’s performance digitally available on iTunes for $1.99.  The purple vinyl edition of the recording will list at $25.98 wherever vinyl is sold.
