Afropunk has confirmed Grace Jones as the headliner for the upcoming September 24th event in London. Joining Jones will be Sza, Laura Mvula, Kwabs, The Noisettes, Loyle Carner, Goldlink, Joe Kay, The Whooligan, Hannah Faith, Eden Hagos, MNEK, Lady Leshurr, Skinny Girl Diet, Jorja Smith, Big Joanie, Nova Twins, The Connectors and Mikel Ameen. The first Afropunk London is also a homecoming for co-founder Matthew Morgan who is a native of Hackney. In addition to the music, Alexandra Palace will host a space with food vendors, artists, designers and exhibitions. Tickets are on sale here. Find out more about Afropunk London here.
UK hip-hop duo Imperial and K.I.N.E.T.I.K. get their “Travel The Map” single featuring Oddisee remixed by Swedish producer Soulseize. The remix sounds like bits of a Spaghetti Western infused with soul. The duo released their Adventures In Technicolour this past spring.
