Esperanza Spalding has scored and starred in Allie Avital’s film about a young woman who dangerously pursues a firefighter. The short is part of Ray-Ban’s film series and comes not long after the release of Spalding’ s Emily’s D+ Evolution.

Alicia Keys Announces Intimate Show At London’s Village Underground This Thursday

Alicia Keys has been busy reintroducing her music to the public with the recent debut of her new single, “In Common” followed up by a television appearance on SNL and the official video. She will give her London fans a chance to be the one of the first crowds to see and hear “In Common” live as well as select moments from her catalog this Thursday at the Village Underground. The show is a rare opportunity to see her in an intimate setting and a number of special guests are scheduled to appear. Ta-ku & Wafia-Meet In The Middle

Australian producer Ta-ku and fellow native singer Wafia are releasing their (m) edian EP on June 24th.  “Meet In The Middle” is from (m) edian and it is a streamlined, electronic R&B that finds both of them singing about the value of being in a romantic partnership. Ta-ku’s reputation has grown with his output of official remixes for the likes of Childish Gambino and an unusual collaboration with Jaden Smith. His Songs To Make Up To EP also grew his following. Wafia is also from Australia and is building her name as a budding R&B singer who already received millions of plays for her cover of Mario’s “Let Me Love You” and her breakout single, “Heartburn.”
