Jus Friends Presents The Detroit House and Techno All Stars in Support of Flint 2
On Friday, April 8, 2016 from 8 pm to 2 am at TV Lounge in Detroit, Michigan, Jus Friends presents the Detroit Techno All Stars in Support of Flint 2 for a special event, “Something in the Water (Does Not Compute) 2”. In response to the Flint water crisis, the newly formed initiative together with prominent Detroit promoters collaborate to raise awareness in the electronic music community while providing world-class entertainment from Detroit’s best and brightest ‘All Stars’. The location offers 3 stages of music with a line-up of over 35 DJs and artists. Highlights of this event include appearances by the Godfather of techno Juan Atkins, Omar S, John Collins of Underground Resistance, and Minus artist Asher Perkins. Live acts, vocalists, and on-site live painting create a unique experience. $7000 was raised at the first installment of “Something in The Water (Does Not Compute)” on March 11, 2016. This amount made possible the donation of a semi-truck of bottled water from Absopure to the people of Flint. 100% of the proceeds from “Something in the Water (Does Not Compute) 2” will also directly benefit Flint through bottled water donations, with any remainder going to the Child Health and Development Fund. Tickets are $10, pre-sale online. The sponsors and promoters invite you, Detroit dignitaries, friends and community to attend this very special benefit in support of Flint’s water crisis within the groovy atmosphere of internationally renowned TV Lounge.
