One Be Lo-The Original Born Ones Album Stream

One Be Lo and Seattle native Bean One started recording The Original Born Ones in 2006. They restarted the work again in January 2016 and decided to release the album in February to acknowledge Black History Month. They chose February because the music is addressing things like the Flint water crisis and police killing unarmed Black men. The whole thing is packaged in a photo from the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey because One Be Lo and Bean One compare the Turks taking over Constantinople to the Black and white culture wars in America.
