R.I.P. Cynthia Robinson

Cynthia Robinson, who was a co-founder of Sly and the Family Stone passed yesterday at the age of 69 after a brief battle with cancer. Robinson was also the band’s trumpet player and famously known for yelling “All The Squares Go Home” on the song “Dance To The Music.” She continued to work with Sly Stone after the group broke-up in 1975 and she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame with the band in 2006. Sylvyette Phunne Stone is the daughter she had with Sly Stone, and she’s currently a member of the Daughters Of Soul.
