Duran Duran-Pressure Off Featuring Nile Rodgers & Janelle Monae Official Video

Duran Duran has unveiled their video for “Pressure Off” and it’s a black and white clip with cool shots of the band, a stationary Nile Rodgers and a floating/dancing Janelle Monae.


Mar-I Could Care Less

Mar uses cues from classic Prince for his funk rock single, “I Could Care Less.” The song was co-written with Szjerdene and is the third single from his forthcoming When We Meet EP coming out in November.


Jimmy Fallon To Induct The Roots Into The Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk Of Fame


Jimmy Fallon will induct The Roots into the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk Of Fame this coming Monday (Oct. 26th) at The Fillmore Philadelphia. The Roots has been the official house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since its launch last year. The four-time Grammy-winning ensemble served in the same capacity for Fallon the previous five years on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The Roots will be honored along with Billie Holiday and disco band The Trammps. The event will also include a charity auction with tickets to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as one of the bidding items.


Cool Uncle (Bobby Caldwell & Jack Splash)-Breaking Up Featuring Deniece Williams

Producer Jack Splash and ’70’s soul singer Bobby Caldwell are the cross-generational Cool Uncle. “Breaking Up” is their musical take on the ending of a relationship with guest appearances from ’80’s soul/pop icon Deniece Williams and hip-hop newcomer Eric Biddines. Their self-titled album comes out November 13th and you can also pre-order it from iTunes.


Junglepussy-Dear Diary

Junglepussy drops another preview of Pregnant With Success with a video for “Dear Diary.” The song is produced by her main collaborator ShyGuy and she says Pregnant With Success is “definitely an ode to my mother, to all mothers, to anyone who’s ever planted a seed, to anyone who’s ever created something, to anyone who’s ever waited patiently for something to come into fruition.” Junglepussy just gave a talk at Yale University for their Fall lecture series and you can see it here.
