Adrian Younge: New Soul Rebel

New Soul Rebel is an 18-minute film about Adrian Younge’s old school methodology for making music presented by Nowness.com. DJ Premier, Bilal, Raphael Saadiq and the Rza appear in the film and share their belief in the power of the human touch in music that cannot be replaced by solely using computers. Younge’s discussion about his love of analogue production is complimented by the cinematography and direction of Malik Hassan Sayeed and Arthur Jafa.
