Jason, Brian, Andre and Christopher Dalyrimple are from Wheatley Heights, NY and had the good luck to sign with Uptown Records in 1992 as the group Soul For Real. “Candy Rain” was the first single from their debut album of the same name and it made them one of the most favored R&B groups of the ’90’s. Heavy D mentored them and was one of the executive producers of the album along with Andre Harrell, Trackmasters, Kenny Greene and Dave Clinton. “Every Little Thing I Do” and “If You Want It” were the follow-up singles to “Candy Rain” and helped the 1995 album go platinum. Their sophomore effort, For Life had the benefit of Heavy D, Sean Combs, Stevie J and Chucky Thompson but the songs “Never Felt This Way” and “Love You So” failed to stick with the public because of a lack of promotion. They recorded a third album, Heat on the independent label Chrome Dome before disappearing from the public eye. Brian Dalyrimple served prison time for identity theft in 2009 and the other brothers re-grouped to release music independently.
