808 (Trailer)

Alexander Dunn is the first-time director of “808” the new film about Roland’s TR-808 drum machine. The studio tool was legendary in the way it was used by so many pop culture luminaries in the dance music and hip-hop worlds. Dunn interviews countless individuals including Afrika Bambaataa and Rick Rubin about the usage of the machine and how the sound of the times until it was discontinued. There is no exact release date but it will come out sometime in 2015.

BADBADNOTGOOD-Gunshowers Feat. Ghostface Killah & Elzhi

Toronto hip-hop/jazz group BADBADNOTGOOD is releasing their new album Sour Soul on February 17th. Ghostface Killah will be featured on every song and there are appearances from Danny Brown and Elzhi. “Gunshowers” is a Sergio Leone sounding track with Elzhi and Ghostface sharing time stacking verses about silencing their verbal opponents.
